[HIRING] Part-time chat/support operator, EU hours

Hiring a part-time chat and support operator for a cam/creator operation. EU-timezone hours, roughly afternoons and evenings. The job is engaging with fans in chat, handling basic support, keeping conversations warm and converting them, plus light scheduling. Not modeling - this is the operator side. Need good written English, fast typing, thick skin, and reliability. Experience in adult chat/support a big plus, but I’ll train the right person. Pay is hourly plus a performance bonus. DM with a bit about you and your availability.

Good role, and an important one - a bad chatter loses you more money than people think. One advice for whoever applies: be honest about your hours. The worst is someone who disappears in the middle of a shift, the fans notice immediately and they do not come back. Reliability is more important than being the best writer.

Agree with Katya. I hire few chatters over the years, the best ones are not always the best English, is the ones who show up every day and actually care to convert. Wrangler, if you want, i can share the simple KPI sheet i use to track chatter performance, it saved me from paying people who just chat and never sell.

not applying but its good to see actual jobs on here and not just people selling courses. this is the kind of post that makes a forum feel real

whats the shift coverage you actually need, and is it your timezone or the models? ive hired great people who happened to be asleep every time it got busy.

people really underrate this. on a creator op the support seat is a sales seat wearing a different hat. hire for it like it’s revenue, because it is.

The good chatters are relationship managers, not typists. When you find one who gets it, pay what it takes to keep them. Churning that seat and retraining every few months is a quiet drain on your revenue that never shows up on a spreadsheet.

nice to see an actual scope on a listing for once. the chat role is all script and boundaries. hand someone a customer-facing seat with vague expectations and you get a chatter promising stuff you can’t actually deliver.

agreed, real job posts beat another which-network thread. when the board fills up with hiring instead of guru pitches, that’s a sign it’s actually growing up.

My bar for a chat hire is comfort with the content plus discretion. I can teach the script, I can’t teach temperament. I’ve interviewed plenty who typed fast and then got weird about the material, and that weirdness always ends up in front of the customer.

been reading these hiring threads to get the other side of the business. i honestly thought the chat seat was just answering questions, didn’t realize a bad one actually costs you sales. makes sense though.

a real hiring bar for chat matters more than people realize, a chat and support operator is handling sensitive customer and sometimes talent interactions, so the bar has to be genuine comfort with the material, real discretion, and reliable presence, not just availability. someone who flinches at the content or vanishes for shifts is a liability no skill makes up for. setting an actual bar, adult-comfortable, discreet, consistently present, and screening hard for it, is the whole game, the tools and scripts you can teach and the disposition and reliability you cannot.

good to see actual jobs on here, a real hiring thread with a clear role, honest hours, and a genuine bar is exactly the kind of thing that makes a community more useful than a place people only come to argue, and it signals the forum is maturing into somewhere real business gets done. a well-written hiring thread benefits everyone, the person hiring gets better applicants from a trusted community, the people looking get real opportunities, and the forum becomes a place where actual work happens rather than just talk. more of this is healthy.

from the performer and creator side, the thing i would add to any chat and support hiring is that the person represents you to your customers and sometimes your talent, so their discretion and their tone matter enormously, a support operator who is careless with sensitive information or cold with people can quietly damage relationships you spent a long time building. so hire for the human qualities, warmth, discretion, reliability, over raw speed or cheapness. so beyond the adult-comfortable-and-present bar, weight how the person actually treats people, because in a support and chat role they are the voice of your business to the exact people whose trust you depend on, and a cheap fast hire who is discreet and kind is worth far more than a cheaper faster one who is careless, since the cost of a support person who mishandles a sensitive interaction is measured in lost customers and damaged talent relationships, not in their hourly rate.

the onboarding shortcut for a support hire that works is a short script for the common questions plus clear escalation rules, because ninety percent of the volume is the same handful of questions and canned starting points free the person to actually think about the ten percent that are real. so script the routine and empower the judgment. so pair a script for the common questions with a clear map of what they can resolve versus what gets bumped up, because that combination makes a new support hire useful on day one instead of guessing, and it means you are hiring for the disposition, the adult-comfort and reliability and discretion, rather than for pre-existing knowledge of your setup, so the knowledge you hand them in a script and the judgment develops with the escalation rules, which lets you cast a wider net for the right person and train the specifics fast, since the hard-to-find part is the human qualities and the easy-to-provide part is the process, and structuring onboarding around a script plus escalation rules is what turns a well-disposed hire into a productive one quickly without needing them to arrive already knowing your particular business.

worth setting the bar explicitly, because the role looks easy to staff and is not. doing chat or support well takes reliability, discretion, genuine comfort with the adult context, and real communication skill. the apparent simplicity is what leads to careless hiring, and careless hiring is how you end up with the unreliable or unsuitable person who creates the exact problems support exists to prevent. screen against a clear standard for the traits that actually matter rather than taking whoever is available.

the onboarding is what gets them useful fast instead of floundering for weeks. hand a support hire the common scenarios, the scripts for them, and clear escalation paths, and a reliable person is effective in days. leave them to improvise and even a good hire gives inconsistent answers while they work it out. the structure is not babysitting, it is what captures the reliability you hired for and points it at the right responses from day one.

from the studio side, hiring EU-hours chat and support taught me the discretion and adult-comfort filter is the first gate before anything else, because an operator uneasy with the content or careless with privacy is a risk no other quality offsets, so that fit comes before the general support skills. so screen for adult-comfort and discretion first, before general skill. so make comfort with the adult context and reliable discretion the first filter in a support hire before assessing general skill, because an operator uncomfortable with the material or loose with private information creates risk that competence elsewhere cannot compensate for, so the studios and operators who staff these roles well gate hard on that fit first, which means the adult-comfort-and-discretion requirement is a genuine first gate rather than a preference, since the role involves the content and customers directly and a poor fit there causes discomfort, mistakes, and privacy problems, and the operators who learned this screen for the adult-context fit before the general support skills, because getting that fit wrong undoes everything else the hire might have offered, making the discretion and comfort with adult work the threshold a support candidate has to clear before their other qualities even become relevant to the hiring decision.
